31st July 2006

Yesterday, the highlight of my day was watching a monkey play at a poker table in the WSOP lifestyle exhibition. Today we have three celebrities playing although only one was picked up on by the American media.

The three are Lennox Lewis, Tony Holden and Tony Cascarino (footballer who played 88 times for Ireland). I have read both Tonys' books "Big deal" and "Full time" and both are highly recommended.

Lennox Lewis started as an alternate (only 2000 players can start playing at one time, people knocked out can be replaced by an "alternate" so that more entrants can be accepted) lost half his stack then pushed all in with aces against Ceci Mortensen's (Carlos's wife) pocket queens and won. By the end of Level 1 he was back where he started. On his break he visited Doyles Room where he was given copies of Super System 1 and 2. He was out before the next break.

Tony Cascarino had around 12k at the dinner break. He is being sponsored by Littlewoods.

Tony Holden also made the dinner break. He said this will be the last chapter of his book which he hopes to be published in October. So if anyone wants to buy me a Christmas present....

Midnight and Tony Cascarino has 8k.Barny Boatman the only one of the Hendon Mob who could make it into Day2.
