Sing no more. The British bubble burst although no one can fault Jon Gaskells play he just didn't win his races today. Doncaster's Paul Foltyon made a fatal mistake pushing $110k into the pot with 8 6 os . Jon called with AQ and the overnight chip leader was looking solid.

However he lost his second race with A 10 v A Q. Erich Lindgren may have a reputation as being carefree away from the table but he is very focused when playing. He was lucky to eliminate Gaskell with AK v KK . in 5th place. Jon has some pie money though, $119145.

The winner was 21 year old Jeff Madsen (Los Angeles), his second bracelet. Erich Lindgren was second.

The British players are here in force now. I am not sure why they all missed the first two weeks but better late than never.(Maybe it was the World Cup)

Todays Razz tournament attracted over 400 players including Bruce Atkinson, Aniston, Peter Costa, Micky Wernick. Due to the size of the field the players are having to play until 4am

The other event was $5k NLHE. Joe Beevers, John Shipley, Mark Teltscher + Steve Walmsley are playing deep into day 1.

Next week is party week. Pamela Anderson will be the star guest at Doyles Room party ,which promises a mechanical bull and 100+ cowgirls. (Not real ones thankfully but drop dead gorgeous models.)

I heard Lennox Lewis will be attending a rival party. Unfortunately most of the parties are on the same evening which is also the evening of the media event.

1) Barny Boatman + Steve Walmesley in the $5k.
2) Jen Harman + Paul Jackson
