No email
from Roy Brindley taking my
over/under of 60 for todays H.O.R.S.E (Holdem, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Eight or
better). The event attracted 144 entries and we did not lose a player by
dinner. By the end of play we still have lost less than 20. The H.O.R.S.E
donkeys include Fischman, Marcel Luske and Hasan Habib.
It looks like
Full Tilt v Doyles Room out there. Doyles Room has an
experienced team consisting of Doyle+Todd Brunson, Cyndy Violette, Eli
Elezra,Sam Grissle, Tom Franklin, David Levi, Mike Caro, Hoyt Corkins,
Dewey+Derek Tomko, Minh Ly, Chau Giang, Mel Judah, Men Nguyen + Max
Pescatori.
Tony Bloom, Ram Vaswani + Devilfish are the only British
players. Devilfish survived day 1 with 22k in chips and the Lizard is one of
the shortstacks .Ram "crazy horse" is mid pack.
Harry Demetriou is to
have lunch with Jeffrey Pollack (vice president of sports and entertainment
marketing for Harrah's Operating Company, Inc. and commissioner of the World
Series of Poker) of Harrahs after voicing his opinion, on internet forums,
about the poor state of affairs at the WSOP.
Harry is disgusted with
the following:
- Poker players paying $109 for
rooms when slot players are being offered $40 rooms.
- $2k juice in HORSE
event.
- Harrahs have made over $100m
from Party Poker + Miller Lite for ads on all tournament tables plus another
$1- $1.6m from Card Player/Full Tilt for exclusive coverage.
- None of this money is returned
to the players.
- If a player wants a photograph
of himself at the final table he has to buy it from a Harrahs owned
company.
- Harrahs witholding winnings
from overseas players. Wheras the Bellagio has always issued ITIN (An
Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax processing number
issued by the Internal Revenue Service, ITINs are for federal tax reporting
only) to players.
- Players are noticing decks
being re used and cards having marks on them.
Victor Ramdin + Joe
Cassidy both playing in Full Tilt logo are the end of Day1 chip leaders .First
prize is $1.7m second a little over $1m .
