The Casino At The Empire (2007)

Empire Casino Leocester Square
Above the Entrance of the Empire Casino
The Casino at The Empire opened in late spring 2007. Officially situated at 5-6 Leicester Square London WC2H 7NA - 020 3051 6724.

The North side of Leicester Square has a new attraction. Renovation work has revealed the Deco Art facade of the old building which now is in part the new Empire Casino. It was owned by LCI, which in turn was owned by Harrahs, Las Vegas but this has now been taken over by Caesars.

Inside you'll find a lot of glass and shiny metal, semi-vegas style. The main gaming floor has the great benefit of very high ceilings and is quite large by British standards. Around the room is a balcony where you'll find two restaurants, an ice-cream bar, two bars and a night club. Downstairs there is a poker room with its own bar.A secret passage in the entrance hall will take you up to the secluded bar with outside tables overlooking Leicester Square.

The gaming includes electronic Roulette, Punto Banco, Black Jack, Three Card Poker and conventional Roulette. There are 16 roulette tables, most evenings all of them will be in operation.

Restaurants
FuLuShou serves affordable Asian fusion cuisine in a relaxed, elegant setting where the on-show kitchen creates a theatrical ambience. Flame, is their signature restaurant. Serving the highest quality meat and fish, as well as lighter alternatives such as chowders, soups and salads Flame offers a variety of fresh, flavourful cuisine. Mocha, is a boutique ice creamery and coffee bar on the second floor.

Poker Room
The poker room is quite plush with its own bar so you don't far to go. Tournaments are held every day and the finals of the first ever World Series Of Poker in Europe will take place there. The Casino at The Empire has a Player Rewards program which applies equally to poker players!

Carlsberg Sports Bar
Boasting two giant screens, plus 14 more spread around the bar, they guarantee you will not miss a minute of the action in your favourite sport. From Premier League football and cricket to NFL and Aussie rules football, they have all sports covered 24/7. But what you can't do yet is bet on the sports in the casino so you'll still have to go online to that.

Dress code
Smart jeans/trousers, shirt and tidy footwear required at all time. No hooded tops, ripped jeans, sportswear or white sports trainers are not permitted.

Based on the vibrant feel and the many assets, I give it 8½/10. Just too difficult to get to in a car.
