Slingo: A Combination of Slots and Bingo

You may or may not have heard about Slingo… One thing’s for sure, it is highly entertaining. The concept is simple to understand. Slingo is a mixture of bingo and slots. To be exact, it brings together aspects of 75-ball bingo and the features for popular slot machines. Like all great things, the game appeared in America in 1996. It was the brainchild of a New Jersey businessman named Sal Falciglia Sr. However, Slingo is still quite new to UK players. More and more new money versions keep appearing and its popularity just keeps growing.

So, how do you play Slingo? Well, Slingo is played on a 5x5 grid – it looks a bit like a bingo card. The only difference being there is a set of reels found underneath the grid. This helps provide numbers for the game – but remember, there is only one space available on the reel.

There’s no caller to give you the numbers – all you do is spin the reel. With each spin, five numbers will appear. If any of the numbers appear in the grid above, they are marked off. This continues until you get five in a row diagonally, horizontally, or vertically. When this happens, you get Slingo. The good news is the game does all this for you – each Slingo game comes with its own daubing feature.

Bingo or slots… Slots and bingo… What’s the difference? You may ask… As you know Slingo is a hybrid, and you will notice a difference as you play. You can still play as a single player just like you’d find on a slot. Or, you can go for the multiplayer option in some cases. This lets you interact with others and chat as you play – just like in bingo.

On Slingo, like all slots, you will find some interesting symbols. Each one has a function to carry out. This could be to help you or hinder you. They can unlock features that can stop you from forming winning lines, or you can pick up points to help you. The symbols include Free Spins, Super Jokers, Jokers, Cherubs, coins, and the Devil.

Slingo may seem complicated, but as soon as you learn a few of the basics you’ll be ready to get going! The best way to pick up some wins is to build up your points by using your extra spins and other extra to build up your points. If you can pick up some multipliers along the way, save them until last. This will help you max out when trying to grab some points and make winning lines. Last, but not least… Go over the instructions of the game, this is very important. You’ll be able to get a good overview of the game and learn more about what the game has to offer.

So, where can you play Slingo games? Many online bingo and casino sites such as Kitty Bingo offer them. They offer a wide range of Slingo titles such as Monopoly Slingo, Slingo Berserk, Baking Bonanza, and many more!

If you want to try something different, then Slingo might just be for you.
