There’s no doubt that Wimbledon is the most highly respected Tennis tournament in the world. It also happens to be one of the four “Grand Slam” competitions, the biggest tennis events of the year. The Grand Slam also comprises of the Australian Open at the beginning of the year, the French Open set between May and June and the US Open in August and September, directly following Wimbledon in July. Each tournament is played over a period of two weeks, and surprisingly as of 2017, only 8 males and 10 females have won the singles Career Slam, this means winning all four competitions throughout the duration of their career.
