In 1998 Littlewoods
Pools launched its new media betting arm Littlewoods Betdirect, initially
comprising a telebetting operation but later expanding into the internet, and
pioneering in the interactive TV and mobile channels. Now part of the UK listed
Sportech plc, Littlewoods Betdirect is known to offer genuine value to
customers and excellent customer service.
As of Wednesday 7th June 2006
Bet Direct is no longer part of the Littlewoods group. BetDirect are now owned
by 32 Red Plc.
They offer a wide range of cashbacks and concessions
including:
- free credit for new
customers on all products
- regular deposit
bonuses for existing customers on their casino/poker products
- daily cashbacks on all
live football, such as 'if the game ends 2-2, they will refund all losing
bets'
- daily cashbacks on
racing, such as 'if your horse comes second to Red Rum, they will refund your
losing bets'
- they regularly pay out
extra places such as 1/4 odds 5 places at the Grand National
The
Upside
The betting procedure is one of the best on the web. As you
proceed through the bet in a pop-up window, all the stages are clear and what
you are betting on is always in view. This is better than many other sites
where there is often nothing in view as you press "confirm" for your bet.
Improvements have been made to information on the website which is now
comprehansive.
Conclusion
Good all round package. Not quite as
slick as the others but very useable.
