- 26th Terry Farmer (United Kingdom) $6,236, 51st Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott
(Hull, United Kingdom) $3,939, 53rd Surinder Sunar (Wolverhampton, United
Kingdom) The winner of the $1,500 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha High-Low
championship was Lukasz Dumanski. He is a 24-year-old poker player from
Toronto, Ontario (Canada). This was his first WSOP victory. Dumanski topped a
field of 687 entries. He arrived at the final table third in the chip count,
behind the chip leader David Bach. He won his victory after pulling away in the
late stages of the tournament Bach, who ended-up finishing second. This was
Dumanski's third time to cash at the WSOP. Both of his previous in-the-money
finishes occurred at the 2005 World Series. First place paid $227,454. He also
collected the gold and diamond bracelet, designed and made by luxury watchmaker
Corum. This is the first time the World Series of Poker had ever offered a
Pot-Limit Omaha High-Low Split tournament. The event attracted the largest
turnout ever for a live tournament featuring this game. |
