StanJames Plc is
licensed by the Gibraltar Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005 and
regulated by the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority. In December 2007 they bought
the Betdirect bookmaking company, which was established in 1998, from 32Red for
£5.75 million. The Betdirect operation was merged with Stan James in
February 2009. In 2008, they bought the online betting business betterbet.com
from London bookmaker Better. In May 2010 they bought 27 branches of regional
bookmaker Pagebet after the company went bankrupt.

What you get
Its a soft looking slick operating
simplified betting system. We like the overall feel, not too cluttered as many
are and there are always the full range of options open to you whichever screen
you happen to be in.
The menu system is clear and the bet options are
easy to understand.
Crucial betting windows give a clear account of what
you are about to bet on and how much. Confirmation screens very good. Some
other firm's sites lack this key incredient.
They get good marks for
laying bets on anything. All in all a nice feel with
professionalism.
There is a new easy to reach Results section but
its a daily guide. You will need to go elsewhere to catch up on older
results.
Downside
I still would like to see the maximum
bet available. This is key to serious punting.
